As most of you have heard by now, Elite XC is no more and while they had a short run, it was an interesting one.  Having a few friends that fought in that event, it’s too bad to see another MMA event fall short.  While I would have liked to see some different matchups on their CBS events, hopefully this will lead to more TV exposure in the future for the sport.  The bigger issue now is that with the IFL and now Elite folding, where will all those fighters go?  While their are plenty of smaller regional shows available, it’s too bad some good talent won’t be featured as much on a national and international stage.

I noticed that my good friend Efren is on the latest edition of the Ultimate Fighter and have no doubt he’s going to do great.  Despite being a state champion in wrestling, he’s also very good on the ground and the feet and a cool dude to boot.  I met him while training with Drew Fickett in Arizona and is great to see him get his chance.

Finally got a new computer so will be updating the blogs much more frequently.  Photos will also be back soon, need to get the latest programs for Vista.
